I have been pastoring for over 30 years, doing some things right, but many things wrong. When I was ordained at 33, I launched out to begin our first church and found myself completely untrained, inexperienced and unprepared for what was ahead of me. Looking back over these past years, I have seen the Lord take us from a small church of just under 12 to a membership of over 20,000, becoming one of the largest soul-winning churches in our nation.
At The Rock, we have grown to love and respect the local church and the faithful pastors who work diligently. We have seen and experienced the good, bad, ugly and precious of ministry. Because of this, Deby and I have a deep conviction that men and women of God can only go as far as they are encouraged. That is why we are inviting you to be our guest at Pastors 2010, our special gathering for senior pastors.
Why do we think you should come and invest your valuable time? Because we pastored a small church for most of our ministry years and remember wanting someone to share how to cause our church to grow! We knew something had to change, but we didn't know what it was. At this gathering we will share what had to change (and continues to change), how we have learned to hear God's voice and most importantly, to host His presence.
We offer the Pastors 2010 gathering at no cost to you. The Rock will provide all of the materials and meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) during the gathering as our gift to you. Your only expense will be your travel and accommodations while you are with us.
We encourage you to bring your wife (wives are vital and we have special sessions on women and ministry) your children (there will be day and evening session for all the PK's), and join us. We do understand you are probably swamped, overworked, underpaid and all that goes with the job so please... just come and let us take care of the rest!

The Rock Church and World Outreach Center began in 1988 with 12 people and one box of Kleenex. The Kleenex was for tears, not runny noses. Pastors Jim and Deborah Cobrae had just started the church with a small group of people, and the Lord was already bringing in the broken-hearted, the sick, and the maimed. He had given our pastors a promise from Isaiah 12:3 that with joy we would drink from the wells of salvation. In the years to come, tens of thousands would walk the aisles of The Rock to give their hearts and lives to Jesus Christ and experience the healing power of God's love.
Pastor Jim's practical and honest teaching has assisted hundreds of thousands in coming to Jesus and seeing their lives changed. The truth is Pastor Jim has never written a book, is not on television or radio, can't sing, has never written a song, is not a even a good reader, is not highly educated and considers himself not to be very smart. How could this be that God can use him in a great way? Come and find out how much more God can use you.
Pastor Deborah has been married to Pastor Jim for over 30 years and has 4 kids and many wonderful grandchildren. Her commitment to serve the Lord and wear any "hat" He gives her to put on has led her to preach in other nations, the inner city, and prisons. Through thoughtful insight, Deborah's dynamic and practical teaching on God's word will equip you with the "how to's" on being a great pastor in a world that has gone wrong. (Pastor Deborah will do special sessions just for pastors' wives.)
Today is the day to arrive and get introduced to who we are and what we do. It is about vision and purpose that will encourage you in your ministry. This is not about pushing celebrity pastors and "product", but about simply following God.
We're gonna work you hard today! Wednesday is all about developing your heart to line up with the heart of God. There will be six in-depth sessions with Pastors Jim and Deborah Cobrae during the day and then you will be able to experience a Rock Church service at night. Just look at the schedule and you will see that we are working hard for you.
Today we will conclude Pastors 2010. We saved the best for last. Today is a day to touch the heart of God and reach from the spiritual things we learned yesterday to the practical ministry application for your church. You will be able to ask questions of Pastors Jim and Deborah and also of some of the pastors and staff of The Rock who work in specific areas that you want to learn about. Then we will send you home to your church stronger, healthier and more committed to the vision God has given you!

VISA STATUS: Before you register, if you are coming from outside of the United States we welcome you to attend our conference if you already have a valid Visa to enter the country. The Rock Church will not be able to provide Visa letters or documentation to assist you to attend this conference.
Special Pastors 2010 Conference discounted hotel rates are $79.00 per night plus tax for Standard King or Double Queen rooms. Rooms must be reserved by May 11, 2010 in order to receive the conference discounted rate of $79.00 per night. Please specify which room you are requesting at the time of booking.
