Women's & Small Group Ministry

Responsibilities:
I oversee the Women’s Bible Studies and small groups, teach at The Rock Bible College and provide Spiritual Guidance.

Background:
Born and raised in sunny South Africa, my husband Hennie and I moved to the States more than 20 years ago. Growing up in church and loving the Lord, little did I know I was called to full time ministry on the other side of the globe. My grandfather, and hero, was a pioneer pastor in South Africa and fruit of John G Lake’s ministry from Azusa Street, not far from where I live now… After Hennie completed seminary in South Africa, we permanently left our home and began serving the body of Christ on the east coast in Norfolk, Virginia. After being a “student wife” while my husband completed his studies at Regent University, we pastored in local churches here and in South Africa for many years and also planted churches in Virginia and the Philippines.

Through the years in ministry God has truly developed in me a heart for women and a testimony of the gracious power of restoration God offers us in our time of deepest need and brokenness. I am passionate about seeing transformed lives and equipping women to reach their world with God’s beauty and goodness.

Another 3,000 miles further away from our place of birth, than Virginia where we lived for eighteen years, we are now honored to call the Inland Empire in Southern California our home. We love and serve the house of God here at The Rock Church and live to see lives saved, restored, transformed, equipped and empowered through the grace and power of God. Building His house, building His people in our valley is our privilege and honor!

We have four amazing kids; I gave birth to Yolandie, Niel and Heinz, and Matt is the best gift a mother in law could ever ask for.

Favorite Life Scripture:

“For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is set on Him.” - 2 Chronicles 16:9

Favorite Hobbies:
Spending time with my very handsome husband; and the kids whenever they come back to the “nest”. Usually involves food and lots of talking!

Favorite Foods and Restaurant:
Fresh, grilled salmon, really good ice cream and a Jamba Juice every now and then.
