Pastoral Care & Small Groups Ministry

Responsibilities:
I am responsible for overseeing the Small Group, Pastoral Care and Marrieds Ministries at The Rock Church and World Outreach Center. I’m also part of the faculty of The Rock Bible College.

Background:
I was born and raised in South Africa where I accepted the Lord as my Savior at a very young age. As a young man, determined to do things my way, I worked with IBM as a Systems Engineer for several years before finally yielding to God’s call to fulltime ministry. After graduating from the Apostolic Faith Mission Theological Seminary in Johannesburg and being ordained by this denomination, I pursued a graduate degree at Regent University in Virginia, USA and graduated in 1991. I then served as Senior Pastor in a local church for several years in South Africa, followed by accepting a call to a Charismatic Southern Baptist Church back in Virginia. After serving there as Senior Pastor for seven years, I was blessed to plant two Non-Denominational Churches; one in Virginia where I also served as founding Pastor for five years, and one in the Philippines. In 1995 I was honored with a Doctor of Ministry Degree by Providence Bible College and Theological Seminary in Norfolk, VA. It has been my privilege to conduct leadership training in the Philippines and Central African countries.

Together with our three children, Yolandie, Niel and Heinz, my wife Eleanor and I came to The Rock Church and World Outreach Center in 2005. We feel privileged and blessed to be a part of the amazing work God is doing in the Inland Empire!

Favorite Hobbies:
Outdoors, hiking, white-water rafting, water skiing and snow skiing.

Favorite Foods and Restaurant:
Wherever a good steak (and a shake) is served, and my wife’s cooking.
