Youth Ministry

Responsibilities:
I oversee The Rock Youth Ministry and its 5 weekly youth services alongside my husband, Richard. I am also responsible for the Youth Ministry Internship Program which develops young adults to be ready for ministry. I assist in teaching at The Rock School of Ministry and am actively involved in our Women’s Ministry.

Background:
I was born and raised in the Inland Empire and have been part of The Rock Church since I was in Elementary School. I gave my life to God at a young age but fell away from Him in high school. At age 16, I rededicated my life to Christ and got extremely involved in The Rock Youth Church (drama, discipleship, etc.) I began preaching at 17 years old; that same year I helped in an organization alongside five other high school teens in which we held an evangelical concert in Redlands that saw over 1,200 in attendance with more than 70 salvations. After graduating from Colton High School, I was asked to be one of the first interns here at The Rock Church in the Youth Ministry under Pastors Eddie and Dawna Elguera.

I graduated from The Rock School of Ministry and my internship in 2002, I was asked to continue at The Rock and assist in the Youth Ministry. I have been married to my amazing husband, Pastor Richard Villanueva for four years and we are looking forward to starting a family soon!

I love ministry and teenagers and couldn’t imagine life without either. I thank God everyday for the adventure and opportunity to live life in ministry at The Rock!

Reading, soccer (the original football) and hanging out with my husband and family.

Vince’s Spaghetti in Ontario, Golden Spoon Frozen Yogurt and Miguel’s Jr.
