Principal Function: Set up and control lighting equipment for services and events, live productions, recordings and special segments. Consulting with the production director and manager to determine the types of lighting and special effects that are needed. They create and manage all aspects of lighting for a production. Lighting directors work with the artistic and production staff to support the director/pastor’s plans for the production.
Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred, plus 2-5 years of related job experience. Must be familiar with the Full Boar Hog 4 and programming software Capture.
Responsible for much of the hands-on technical work; hanging equipment, programming the light board, etc.
Creating lighting plots for services/events in Capture.
Troubleshoot and training for all the lighting equipment across campus.
Attend serval rehearsals for services/events to observe productions or special segments during services.
In charge of hanging, focusing and patching all lighting equipment.
Responsible to production director, manager and pastors for the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of all lighting equipment.
Gathers quotes for rentals.
Must be able to lift 10lbs, 20lbs, 50lbs and sometimes more above your head on a regular basis.
Operates the lighting console for most services and all events.
Fulfills lighting request for services and events; including the look of live and on camera.
Responsible for lighting set up on stage or trussing across campus.
Manage and coordinate lighting set ups and installs for all services and events.
Help assist, using expertise and knowledge in purchases and upgrades.
